Just like infants, beagle dogs go through the teething process. It is a usual habit of puppies of all breeds to use their mouth to look into the things around.

Be sure to provide your beagles enough items he is allowed to chew on. Huge rawhide bones and carrots can be placed in the freezer and given to a teething puppy. Braided fiber bones immersed in chicken broth or water and then frozen are also a good option.

When your puppy gets overly rambunctious and starts biting and chewing on you, you should handle the situation like his mom. You should let out a sound that allows him recognize it hurt and he will certainly leave you.

If you wish to have good relation with your puppy simply treat him as you treat your child.

Praise him in a calm manner if his response is immediate and provide him a suitable chew toy. Do not offer a toy while your hand is still in his mouth, or you will be rewarding the wrong behavior. Another method which can be applied is to train your puppy to understand your commands and gestures.
