Koi retailers in the Mid-Atlantic Region can now purchase and have their koi delivered via courier service directly to their business location for no additional cost. Washingtonville, NY (PRWEB) March 1, 2006 -- The Koi Farm, Inc. has initiated a novel approach for its koi wholesale business by providing door-to-door courier delivery in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Retailers, such as koi pond builders and garden centers, no longer have to be dependent upon risky airline shipments from out-of-state or international locations, and their associated time consuming airport pickups. With this new courier service, koi are transported from the koi farm directly to the customer’s business location. The koi are prepared for shipping in the morning (bagged, oxygenated, and boxed) and then manually and carefully loaded into a temperature-stable van. Delivery is made the same day. This is a much needed and long overdue alternative shipping solution. An all too common problem exists when normal airline handling stresses koi into illness, or worse yet results in mortality. Also, smaller koi which constitute most of the retail business do not tolerate wide temperature swings that are likely to be encountered with airline shipping. Missed opportunities, reduced profits, and customer dissatisfaction resulting from inadequate shipping methods no longer have to be accepted or left to chance. Brian Kroposki of Reflexions Landscape Corp. in Goshen, N.Y., a koi pond builder who buys koi from The Koi Farm reiterates the benefits of the courier service by saying, “In addition to the courier delivery saving us time, we receive ready-to-sell koi.” “It is our responsibility to provide healthy koi when our customers need them, and the courier allows us to do this without any added cost” says Lee Menszak of The Koi Farm. He believes that there will also be a measurable cost reduction benefit when considering the elimination of sick or lost koi. “We are providing what our customers need.” The Koi Farm, Inc. is a privately owned company founded in 2003. The company specializes in providing wholesale and retail koi, bred from high-quality Japanese parents. The company designs and builds koi ponds, water falls and unique landscapes. Additional services include koi health and water quality consulting. Contact: Regina Sigler, Director of Public Relations The Koi Farm 1-800-307-1052 http://www.thekoifarm.com
